Argonautica were engaged to provide marine operational and technical management for the dynamically positioned FPSO “Crystal Ocean” as part of the Basker-Manta-Gummy offshore project in the Bass Strait.

Initially the role involved managing the deployment from long-term layup in 2005, where Argonautica expedited commissioning activities and authored the necessary procedures in order to achieve regulatory compliance allowing a rapid field deployment and achieving first oil within 11 months.

Argonautica continued to provide operational management support through the EPT and FFD phases, and provided operational and technical management functions including two shipyard upgrades at Keppel Tuas (Singapore) in 2006.

Once the Basker-Manta project was completed in 2011, Argonautica were engaged to manage the reinstatement and handback of the vessel on behalf of ROC Oil Ltd to the Owner at Keppel Gul (Singapore). This involved coordinating a 6 month lay-up period in Labuan, transit to Singapore, and manage the contractual docking repair scope, spares consolidation and final contract negotiations.
