John Hoogerwaard is a qualified Master Mariner with over 20 years of success in demanding and responsible roles within the global shipping and oil / gas industries.

He has extensive seagoing experience onboard oil tankers, bulk carriers, offshore supply vessels, Dredgers, FPSOs and FSOs and previously worked for companies including Woodside Energy Ltd, BHP Petroleum, BHP Billiton, ConocoPhillips, Boskalis Dredging, Thome Ship Management and Teekay Shipping.

John’s in-depth understanding of the interface between marine and production systems on FPSOs enables him to provide practical solutions across a range of design and operational activities.  He has previously contracted in marine advisory roles to both Upstream Petroleum for the Basker-Manta-Gummy project and Woodside Energy Limited’s “Cossack Pioneer Replacement Project”,  during the Project FEED and design phases.
